Adding companies and linking individuals

How to add/edit companies and link individuals

With Flightdeck, members can add companies, link individuals to the appropriate company and edit company information should anything change.  

In this area, you can access company contacts, create new companies, enter all the relevant company information, edit your company and its information, and link individuals to each company.  

Here, we’ll help you carry out all these functions in Flightdeck.

Accessing company contacts

Dashboard overview:  

Once you’ve signed into the Flightdeck platform, you should be directed straight to your dashboard.  

Here, you should be able to navigate to all your membership tools and benefits.  

Find ‘CRM’ dropdown:  

First, locate the side navigation panel on your dashboard. Here, you'll find the ‘CRM’ dropdown.

Navigate to ‘Company contacts’ and select it from the list to access the company records.

Create a new company

Once you've arrived on the Companies section, you're ready to add new entries.

To initiate company creation, navigate to the top right corner of the page and click the ‘Create New Company’ button. This action will open a side panel on the right.  

You can then use the side drawer to input all relevant company information.

Enter Company Details

Next, enter all the necessary information into the provided input fields within the side panel to create a new company profile.  

This information will include:

  • Company name
  • Address
  • Number of employees
  • Industry type
  • Website
  • Business activity
  • EST annual GWP
  • Source of contact
  • Description of the company
  • Company Type

Link an individual

If you wish to link an individual to the company, fill in the primary company contact field in the side panel.  

Here, you can include the linked individual’s name as well as their job title to provide context

Once this is complete, you can proceed to save by clicking the ‘Next’ button located at the bottom right of the drawer to submit the details.

If all information is filled out correctly and submitted, a success message will appear, confirming that the company has been successfully created.

Editing company details and managing linked individuals

Accessing company details for editing

After a new company has been created, you may wish to edit its details. To do so, you can access the company's detail page through one of two methods:

Either, select the company name from the list of companies (this is the most straightforward way to open the details page), or click on the information icon located on the right side of the company's row in the table. This icon is typically represented by an ‘i’ or a small eye symbol.

Editing company details

Now that you’re on the company details page, you can modify your company’s information as needed.

To update the company's information, simply click the ’Edit’ button located within the company details block. This will enable you to adjust fields like company name, address or contact information.

Managing linked individuals

Alternatively, if you need to edit the individuals associated with this company due to role changes, click the ‘Manage’ button.  

This action will take you to a section where you can add, remove, or modify the details of linked individuals.
